Connie's Peppermint Foot Cream
Top

I formulated this recipe for tired feet, but I also like to rub it on my neck & shoulders, and any other tired muscles.

  • 2.5 grams (0.5%) Germall Plus
  • 5 grams (1%) Peppermint Essential Oil
  • 15 grams (3%) Stearic Acid
  • 20 grams (4%) Liquid Glycerin
  • 25 grams (5%) Emulsifying Wax
  • 75 grams (15%) Regular Cocoa Butter
  • 355 grams (71%) Distilled Water

Weigh all ingredients except Germall Plus and Fragrance together.
Heat in microwave (or on top of the stove) until all solid ingredients are melted (just before water begins to boil).
Blend with immersion blender to ensure complete emulsification.
Add Germall Plus and mix well.
Let cool a little and then add the Peppermint Essential Oil.
Mix once more with the immersion blender.
Allow to cool. You may stir again as cooling.
When cool spoon into eight 2-ounce jars.

CAUTION: Do not use this cream on any sensitive areas as the Peppermint Essential Oil tingles.

Connie's Herbal Hand & Body Lotion
Top

  • 1610 grams Distilled Water (80.5%)
  • 100 grams Herbal Oil* (5.0%)
  • 80 grams Emulsifying Wax (4.0%)
  • 60 grams Hemp Oil ** (3.0%)
  • 40 grams Glycerin (2.0%)
  • 40 grams Shea Butter (2.0%)
  • 40 grams Stearic Acid (2.0%)
  • 20 grams Fragrance Oil (1.0%)
  • 10 grams Germall Plus (0.5%)

* Cold Pressed Extra Virgin Olive Oil infused with your choice of Herbs Calendula, Comfrey & Chamomile are my choice.

****I use clear refined Hemp Oil which has a long shelf life, you can use any oil you like here, I have used Jojoba before and it is very nice.

This makes a nice light lotion that you can use head to toe. I like to keep a bottle in my purse. I leave it unscented for babies and people with sensitive skin.

MSM Lotion Recipe
Top

  • Distilled Water 382.5 grams (may use Aloe Vera juice or Herbal Tea - I would use a strong herbal decoction of Dr. Christophers Formula)
  • MSM 57.375 grams
  • Emulsifying Wax 20 grams
  • Glycerin 10 grams
  • Stearic Acid 10 grams
  • Herbal Oil 50 grams
  • Emu Oil 25 grams
  • Germall Plus 2.5 grams
  • Essential Oil 2.5 (Lavender with Helichrysm if you can afford some)
  • Total grams 557.375 grams

Connie's Canadian Cream
Top

  • 4.8 grams citric acid
  • 14.4 grams glycerin
  • 19.2 grams stearic acid
  • 24 grams emulsifying wax
  • 72 grams jojoba oil
  • 345.6 grams water
  • 1 fluid dram Earl Grey fragrance oil (bergamot)

Combine all ingredients in a microwave safe container. Heat until water turns milky white or water appears to boil. Remove from microwave and blend with immersion style blender. Microwave is approximately 1.5 minutes and the blending is approximately 15 seconds. Add fragrance oil. Blend again to ensure fragrance is distributed evenly. Skim any bubbles from the surface. JoJo's Lotion
(Recipe by Cyndi Muller copyright 2002)
Top

This is the lotion I made for my cousin JoAnn Minnich (JoJo) when she was recovering from massive doses of radiation for her brain cancer out at Loma Linda Hospital in CA. The lotions they gave her to 'help' her burns were petroleum based and did nothing to help her fried skin. JoJo found almost instant relief after using this lotion. It healed her burns more quickly than regular lotion.

I have decided to share this recipe to help others. If you do use it to sell, I only ask that you donate a good percentage to Walk For Life in honor of JoJo. If you choose to post this recipe on your site, please give credit where credit is due.

  • 5% Aloe Butter
  • 4% Meadowfoam Oil
  • 3% Rose Hip Oil
  • 3% Emu Oil or Virgin Coconut Oil
  • 4% glycerin
  • 4% e-wax
  • 2% stearic acid
  • 37% Aloe Vera Juice
  • 37% Lavender Hydrosol
  • 2% Lavender essential oil
  • perservative per manufacturers direction

This Lil' Piggy Foot Creame
(Recipe by Cyndi Muller copyright 2004)
Top

This is a cream I made for a lotion swap. It is very nice on sore tired tootsies!

  • 10% Lard
  • 4% E-wax
  • 6% Stearic Acid
  • 3% Glycerin
  • 76% distilled water
  • 5% menthol crystal
  • 1% cyclomethicone (optional)
  • 2% phenyl trimethicone (optional)
  • perservative per manufacturers direction

OPTIONS:

  • For lotion: reduce Stearic Acid to 3%
  • Replace 3% Glycerin with 3% Honey
  • Do not use menthol crystals

A lotion made using this recipe (only 3% stearic acid, no menthol and using honey) makes a wonderful facial lotion!

Lanolin Lotion
(Recipe by Cyndi Muller copyright 2005)
Top

This lotion was created for all my fiber artist friends!

  • 5% Lanolin
  • 5% Sweet Almond
  • 5% MCT (aka Fractionated Coconut) Oil
  • 4% E-wax
  • 3% Stearic Acid
  • 6% Glycerin
  • 76% Aloe Vera Juice
  • perservative per manufacturers direction

EO Blend for an Icy Hot
Top

  • 2 parts Menthol Crystals (gives that Icy Hot feeling)
  • 1-2 parts Camphor
  • 1 parts Peppermint
  • 1 part Lavender
  • 1 part Rosemary
  • 1 part Eucalyptus

Combine this mixture in a lotion, cream or a carrier oil that the EO blend is 4% of the carrier you use.

We also use this over your neck for sore throat, over your chest for lung problems, over you stomach for cramps, also down lower for female cramps.

Don't get this near your face. These are all easy to find, inexpensive EO's. If you are not limited by funds then you will want to try Helichrysum, Yarrow, Chamomile etc. for their wonderful properties (those are also good for skin problems and could be used on your face).

I hope that this has given some of you with serious pain concerns a starting place. If you make this, or something like it, please let us know how it works for you.

EO Blend for Brown Windsor
Top

  • Bergamot EO 4 parts
  • Caraway EO 2 parts
  • Cassia EO 2 parts (I used cinnamon leaf)
  • Lavender EO 8 parts
  • Clove EO 1 part (I used clove bud)
  • Petitgrain EO 1 part

Legend has it that Lewis and Clark packed many bars of Brown Windsor Soap for their exploring travels. Brown Windsor Soap is reputed to be Queen Victoria's and Prince Phillip's and Napoleon's favorite soap. I have heard that just about every household in the victorian era stocked Brown Windsor Soap.
